Hop~N~Blueberry Farm Annual Hop Harvest Tour August 23 2014
The Hop~N~Blueberry Farm supply various breweries throughout with fresh hops for "wet hop" beer production. This year we sent hops off the vine to Hi Wire Brewing and Lookout Brewing to be put in the boil within 5 hours from picking them off of the vines. The event will feature a tour of the hop yard and education about hops followed by a tasting of beer made from our hops by Hi Wire and Lookout. Music will be provided by Unnamed Suspects.

For this year’s event, we’ll be teaming up with the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy, whose 40 years of work to preserve our local natural spaces has protected over 63,000 acres. We’re proud to support their efforts to support area water quality, wild habitats, farmland, and scenic landscapes.

CASKS FOR A CURE 5 August 25 2014
On Monday August 25th at 6:30 pm, CASKS FOR A CURE returns bigger and better than ever. This year CFAC will be an official Raleigh Beer Week event and will once again be hosted by the good people at Big Boss Brewing.

Join us as we continue this awesome tradition to benefit The ALS Association- Jim "Catfish" Hunter Chapter.

This event will feature casks and drafts created by some of the best homebrewers the Triangle has to offer. A $10 cash donation at the door gets you access to the event. Both Sol Taco and the Dump Pho King trucks will be on hand to satisfy your hunger.

7th Annual High Country Craft Food and Beverage Festival August 30 2014
The High Country Craft Food and Beverage Festival is a celebration of craft beer from around the region and the world. Come sample outstanding beers and delicious food in the beautiful high country of North Carolina. Educational seminars will cover aspects of beer tasting, brewing, and food pairing.

The High Country Beer Fest is a part of Ivory Tower Science, a research based non-profit that directly supports student scholarships and academic research in Fermentation Sciences.

Waynesville Beer Festival August 31 2014
This Labor Day Weekend, Waynesville, NC will host the inaugural Waynesville Beer Festival with nearly twenty regional craft beer brewers, bands, food, and a whole lot of fun.

Local brewer Kevin Sandefur, owner of BearWaters Brewing Company, really wanted to bring a dynamic beer festival to Waynesville, and this year Sandefur applied for a $3,000 grant from the Haywood County Tourism Development Authority. The grant was approved, and Sandefur got to work contacting brewers, band and vendors for the new festival. With more than 20 brewers expected, (and nearly all from WNC) this festival promises to have a great local feel and casual vibe, exactly what you want to see in a craft beer festival.

Tickets are $35 for General Admission Entry to the event, and Includes a souvenir mug, samples during the event, and live music during the day. Designated Driver tickets are $15 and Includes entry into event.
